There is no such thing as “just one unhappy customer” anymore. Social media has given amplification abilities to anyone, even those not affected. For example, the person who was affected by the bad deal pictured above decided to take it out on the dealership by vandalizing their own car to put the message out to everyone who sees them.
This in itself is bad news for the business, but now it’s gone to an entirely new level by going viral on social media as I detail on Driving Sales:
The image above is one of those examples. It went popular on a social media site and a single version of it has now been viewed by nearly half-a-million people. It has spread to other venues and will likely break a million soon if it hasn’t already.
